MicroObservatory Astronomy Images

Here are some of the images captured by the Harvard-Smithsonian MicroObervatory Robotic Telescopes and controlled by students and community members. Drake Planetarium's Director, Pam Bowers, spearheaded this training project done in collaboration with the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, NASA, and the Association of Science-Technology.

Visit our exhibit, "Capture the Colorful Cosmos!”, which features the images captured by Tri-State residents as part of this national collaboration. The exhibit opened Thursday, September 24 at 7 pm, as part of the "Year of Astronomy" celebration. The exhibit is located in the hallway, right outside the Planetarium on the top floor of Norwood High School.
